Overview
SIS4You (Student Information System) is a unique Internet Application System for the administration of post secondary education.
A key to success for SIS4You is its Internet-based, client-server architecture, which requires only an Internet browser to be installed on the client side, and an Internet connection. This means SIS4You access can easily be made available to as many users as necessary, and system upgrades can be implemented with no changes required on the client desktop. The access over the Internet is secured through SSL protocol, which provides 128-bit data encryption, server authentication, message integrity, and client authentication. 128-bit SSL is the standard for large-scale online merchants, banks, brokerages, health care organizations, and insurance companies worldwide.
Admissions
The Admissions module supports data imports from and exports to various
other applications (e.g. Ontario School Application Service), as
well as applicant information including:
- Personal and contact information
- Previous education history and degrees
- Grade Point Average (GPA)
- College Admission Test (e.g. MCAT) results
- Other universities applied to
- Application reviewers and scores
- Interviewers and scores
- Offer (of acceptance) and response for successful applicants
Curriculum
Administrators can maintain and update student and applicant information
online. The Curriculum module allows administrators flawless management of
all application data:
- Maintain curriculum information
- Import marks and other data, and export functions
- Manage system parameters
- View online class lists and marks
- Track students in academic difficulty
- Maintain immunization records
Online Evaluations are also featured by the Curriculum module:
- Evaluations of Student
- Evaluations of Teacher
- Evaluations of Course
- Evaluations of Rotation
Functionality includes scheduling for all courses and rotations, automated
mailings of notifications and reminders, online completion of evaluations
forms, online access to completed forms for authorized individuals, status
and statistical reporting.
Student Affairs
Students requiring advice are encouraged to seek the assistance of the
Director, Student Affairs whose role includes confidential counseling of
students regarding personal, financial, academic and career
decisions. The Student Affairs module administers:
- Personal parameters
- Academic parameters
- Financial parameters
Registration
Fully integrated functions offer the most comprehensive capabilities for
managing student registrations, optimizing:
- Maintenance of academic records
- Production of transcripts
- Credentialing
- Tracking LOA (leave of absence)
- Interaction with other university systems and applications
Reporting and Analysis
A powerful online reporting and analysis engine built on advanced OLAP
technology complements SIS4You. Through its - friendly interface,
OLAP4You allows users to:
- Create, view, modify, print and e-mail reports
- Save, schedule and publish reports in HTML, PDF or Excel
- Analyze multidimensional data: drill down, slice and dice, filter
- Create calculated columns to support "what if" scenarios
- Embed tables, charts and graphs in reports
- Customize views with a wide variety of formatting capabilities

The system has a complete security and control structure that allows
complete flexibility in the functions available to each user. SIS4You has
